As a graphic designer at the educational consulting company EES Innovation, I have a hand in anything visual, from flyers, to slide presentations, to social media and beyond. My responsibilities are wide ranging, and often involve learning a new technique or format when the situation requires it. For instance, as part of my job duties. I have learned how to implement Search Engine Optimization strategies on the company's various websites. I have exercised my creative muscles by collaborating with a team to create a branding suite for multiple EES sub brands and business ventures.  Additionally, I have had the opportunity to help build and maintain a website, and create social and print materials for a political campaign. Overall, my experience has been exciting and varied, teaching me to think on my feet, not be afraid of change, and challenge myself to do my best work every day.

Responsive web design and SEO

When I was first hired, EES did not have a functional website. Over the next several months, my team was tasked with creating one in Wix that would clearly convey our mission and services. After one iteration was complete, I was asked to oversee a major overhaul and update with more content than before. I built the site, with assistance and feedback from team members, entirely in Wix studio. I adjusted for responsiveness on phone, tablet and desktop, as well as implemented SEO strategies that helped EES get noticed in search results.

Documents, reports, and flyers

Documents, from 1 page to 300, comprise a large portion of my work. These can be internal or external facing, print or digital. I have learned technical specifications such as color modes, bleeds, and margins, as well as how to creatively display all kinds of information.

Branding and Strategy

EES has multiple sub brands that have their own unique logos, colors and fonts. Through my responsibilities here, I have managed the differences between these brands, switching seamlessly between styles to create business cards, social media posts, flyers and more. For most of the brands, I also collaborated on the logo and brand ideation, creating multiple drafts of logo options, going through edits, and providing professional insight.

Logo design and brand identity

I was tasked with creating a new brand identity for the Indiana Milken Educator Network, a prestigious group of Indiana educators who have received the Milken award. Shown above are the initial options presented to the team, along with their final decision.

I enjoy any opportunity I get to practice my illustration skills at work. I created these images in Adobe Illustrator for social media use.
